ALEX HX10 MS pump unit is designed for solar installations with collector areas up to 16 sqm. The factory-connected MiniSOL solar controller will provide fully automatic operation of the glycol circuit pump. Moreover, MiniSOL has a built-in Wi-Fi modem, and with the right configuration you can remotely access the solar installation from wherever you are. ALEX HX10 MS is a plug-and-play solution, meaning the installation is ready to go as soon as the controller is inserted into an electrical socket. The high-efficiency WILO or SHIMGE circulating pump used in the unit allows the stringent requirements of the ErP directive for maximum electricity consumption to be met. The Alex HX10 pump unit has the functionality of a two-way pump group through the use of an additional vent mounted at the coil.
Now it is even simpler to install and commission
The use of the Alex HX10 pump unit and MiniSOL controller, factory-connected already at the production stage, results in a significant reduction in installation and commissioning time. All the steps involved in connecting the pump to the controller are omitted, streamlining the whole process and eliminating the risk of mistake. Once the installation has been completed and the solar system has been filled, commissioning is automatic by placing the MiniSOL controller in an electrical socket. There is no need to set any parameters.
Electronically variable speed circulation pumps
ALEX HX10 MS pump unit is offered in 3 variants in terms of the circulating pump used – WILO, SHIMGE 6 and SHIMGE 8. In each variant, control of the pump’s operation is by means of an electronic PWM2 signal. This allows the use of advanced algorithms to manage the operation of solar thermal systems, based on constant measurements of temperature and flow in the operating circuit. The energy efficiency of the entire solar thermal system is the highest of all heat sources. For every 100 W of heat generated, 1-2 W of electricity is usually sufficient.
Maximum heat yield and minimum operating cost
The latest generation of electronically speed-controlled circulation pumps have several times lower electricity consumption than older pumps operating at constant speed. ALEX HX10 MS pump unit includes a circulating pump whose operation can be controlled according to the latest control standards (iPWM, iPWM2 signal). Effective venting of installations
ALEX HX10 MS pump unit additionally includes a tee with vent made according to a new concept. It ensures that the solar thermal system is effectively vented during initial commissioning and during inspections. Air capture takes place within the heater coil where, due to the cross-section of the pipes, the glycol flow velocity is reduced. Air bubbles therefore have a greater ability to float towards the vent. The tee is made of brass and has thermal insulation. Venting is at once easily accessible, convenient and quick to carry out.
